SPREAD THE WORD
There are many different ways to educate people about the mistreatment of animals for research and testing and the alternatives that are better for us all. The simplest actions can be done from wherever you have an internet connection.
Share videos from laboratories on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and more to help educate people who otherwise might not be exposed to the realities of systemic animal cruelty. Be sure to describe what’s shown fully and accurately: Include who, what, when, and where, and tell people what actions they can take to help stop it. Since most of these images are disturbing, include a warning that the footage may be difficult to watch, but is important to see.
Be bold! Gather some friends or set off alone and head for storefronts, public parks, or your college campus. Create or get prepared leaflets on cruelty-free issues and vivisection. Hand them out to passersby. Be prepared to answer people’s questions and maintain a civil discussion. Suggest alternatives to products they may be using and other actions they can take (such as those in this book).
